Purcell, Oklahoma Truck Accident Tragically Kills Woman and Two Young Boys

 

The driver of an SUV and two young boys died tragically on Monday, following a horrific truck accident along I-35 in Purcell, Oklahoma.

The deadly crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-35, near mile marker 91.  Six children were passengers in the SUV when it collided with the back of an 18-wheeler. The rig had come to a stop just prior to the collision.

Two boys, ages 10 and 11, where pronounced dead at the scene. The 40-year-old driver of the SUV was taken to Purcell Municipal Hospital, where she too was later pronounced dead.

The northbound lanes of I-35 where shut down for several hours Monday due to the accident. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s investigation into the crash continues.

Four Girls Listed in Critical Condition After Oklahoma 18-Wheeler Crash

Three 13-year-old girls were taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City via helicopter. They are listed in critical condition.

A 7-year-old girl was taken to Purcell Municipal Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

According to Fox23 News, many of the victims of the Purcell truck accident played for the Tulsa Soccer Club. The club is providing grief counselors for anyone who needs assistance in the wake of the tragedy.
