11 Injured When NGHTMRE Tour Bus Crashes on I-65 North Loop in Houston

Eleven people were injured Saturday morning when a tour bus crashed along the I-65 North Loop in Houston, Texas.

NGHTMRE Tour Bus Hit North Loop Barricade

The February 29th accident occurred around 10:00 a.m., as a charter bus was transporting the popular bass artist NGHTMRE and his production team from Dallas to Houston, where he was scheduled to play later that evening.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the bus was heading west when it suddenly veered off the roadway and crashed into a freeway barrier. The vehicle finally came to rest atop the barricade.

“This was a unique situation for us,” said Houston Fire Department District Chief Anthony Russo. “The way the [barricades] collapsed and gave way created a ramp effect. Due to the material…it is really strong…it held the bus up.”

Six Bus Passengers Treated at Houston Hospitals

All 11 people aboard the bus were hurt, including six who received treatment at the accident scene. Paramedics transferred five others to local hospitals, although it appears that their injuries were minor.

Multiple lanes on the westbound North Loop remained closed for several hours until a crane removed the bus from the barrier.

NGHTMRE was able to perform in Houston on Saturday night.

The tour bus crash remains under investigation.
