Zehl & Associates Represents the Family of Victim Killed in Fannin County Truck Crash

Zehl & Associates has been retained to represent the family of the individual who lost their life in this tragic crash.

Our attorneys have already begun an independent investigation to determine exactly what happened and whether negligence by the truck driver, trucking company, or another party contributed to the collision.

“This family didn’t just lose someone they love — they lost her without warning, on a highway she had every right to expect to travel safely,” says firm founder Ryan Zehl. “This family deserves more than condolences. They deserve answers. Our firm has tried and won cases against some of the largest trucking companies in this country. We’re going to make sure that this family gets the justice they deserve.”

Independent Investigation Already Underway

After a truck crash, trucking companies waste no time protecting themselves. Their investigators and lawyers immediately begin building a defense while critical evidence is at risk of disappearing. Black box data gets overwritten, maintenance and inspection records can change hands, surveillance footage may be erased, and other key evidence is all too often “misplaced” or lost unless it is secured immediately through legal action.

Our trucking accident attorneys have already begun working to preserve and analyze evidence that may help explain what happened, including:

This evidence often reveals whether a truck driver was speeding, using a cell phone, fatigued, inexperienced, improperly trained, or operating a vehicle that should never have been on the road.

Our investigation will focus on identifying every responsible party that contributed to this tragedy and holding them fully accountable.

What Families Should Know After a Fatal Truck Crash

The bottom line is that the trucking company, its insurance company, and their teams of attorneys will do anything to avoid responsibility and pay your family as little as possible after a fatal crash. They’ll blame your loved one for the crash, lose important evidence, and downplay the devastating impact your family has suffered.

No matter how much the trucking company and its insurer promise to “make things right,” you need to remember that they’re only interested in protecting their bottom line.

Your family deserves a legal team with an unwavering commitment to protecting your future.

At Zehl & Associates, our Wrongful Death Lawyers level the playing field from day one. We send preservation notices, secure critical evidence before it is lost, interview witnesses while memories remain fresh, and work with accident reconstruction experts to determine exactly how the crash occurred and how it could and should have been prevented.

We don’t back down from trucking companies. We devote whatever time, resources, and expertise are necessary to secure the justice and full compensation our clients deserve, ensuring families have the financial resources they need to care and provide for themselves in their loved one’s absence.
