Zehl & Associates Files Lawsuit on Behalf of Two Passengers Seriously Injured in Greyhound Bus Crash

Bus Accident Lawyer - Greyhound Bus Accident Lawyer - Texas Bus Accident Lawyer

Ryan Zehl and Kevin Haynes have filed a lawsuit in Dallas County District Court on behalf of two Greyhound bus passengers who were seriously injured when the bus crashed into the bus terminal in Amarillo, Texas on September 19, 2017.

The force of the impact was so severe, our clients and other passengers were thrown across the vehicle.

An initial investigation of the accident suggests that the Greyhound bus driver was inexperienced, inadequately trained, distracted, and speeding at the time of the collision.

“Our firm looks forward to holding Greyhound responsible and doing whatever possible to ensure that the company starts putting as much emphasis on safety as it does its annual profits,” Mr. Zehl said.

Undefeated Bus Accident Attorneys Win Largest Verdicts, Settlements in Greyhound’s History

Having recovered the largest verdicts and settlements in Greyhound’s history, our Experienced Bus Accident Lawyers have repeatedly seen the devastation that results when untrained, unqualified and reckless drivers get behind the wheel of a passenger bus.

For example, our Bus Accident Lawyers won an $18.8 million verdict on behalf of two women who were injured after the Greyhound bus in which they were traveling flipped over while the driver was using his cell phone.

The verdict followed three weeks of testimony, with the jury awarding our clients $9 million in damages and another $8 million in punitive damages after finding Greyhound grossly negligent in causing the accident.

The record-setting recovery ranks as the # 1 largest verdict in Greyhound’s corporate history,

Most recently, our Undefeated Bus Accident Lawyers negotiated a $6 million settlement on behalf of five passengers who were seriously injured after a Greyhound driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing a rollover crash.

The case was settled after our attorneys obtained the first known court-ordered sleep study of a bus driver, confirming that the Greyhound driver suffered from mild-to-moderate sleep apnea.

The settlement was one of the largest ever paid in the company’s history, as well as the #1 largest reported settlement with Greyhound in 2015.
