A 19-year-old man died tragically last Wednesday afternoon, following an 18-wheeler accident in Marshall, Texas.
The November 11th crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Loop 390 and Scottsville Highway in Harrison County. According to the Marshall Police Department, the victim’s pickup truck was struck by a semi-truck turning onto the loop.
The young Marshall man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash Killed Victim’s Brother Last Year
According to media reports, the victim was the brother of a 17-year-old High School football player who died tragically in September 2019 after his pickup truck struck a wild hog on FM 1997, went off the road, struck a culvert, and rolled over. The Marshall High School Senior died after being ejected from his vehicle.
The two brothers are survived by their parents and sister.
So far, it’s not clear what caused last Wednesday’s fatal 18-wheeler accident in Marshall. The Marshall Police Department and the Texas Department of Transportation are working to determine what factors might have contributed to the deadly crash.
