The northbound lanes of the North Central Expressway remain closed today as authorities respond to multiple emergencies, including 1 pedestrian fatality and a charter bus crash.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., a man was struck and killed as he attempted to cross US 75 on foot near Midpark Road not far from the Richardson city limit.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident and resulting pile-up led to a collision between a charter bus and 2 other vehicles.
According to reports, at least 2 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of the charter bus accident.
There is no word yet on how long the highway is expected to be closed.
