Chris Adkins – Trial Lawyer
Chris Adkins has been a fighter his entire adult life. He’s fought for this country, for small businesses, and now for plaintiffs facing off against the biggest companies in the world — and he’s never stopped fighting to overcome what stands in his way.
“As a combat veteran, I know what it’s like to fight when everything is on the line. That’s exactly what we do at Zehl & Associates every day. It’s an honor to stand up for people in their darkest hour and win big when it counts.”
Chris was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After high school, he served six years in the US Army Infantry, deploying overseas multiple times, including two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 7, 8, 9, and 10. After an honorable discharge, Chris moved to Houston and threw himself into real estate, leading an investment company that raised over $15 million in capital and generated $20 million in total investments over five years. His marketing and sales instincts made him a bestselling author and coach in the real estate investment world.
When Chris left real estate, he set his sights on the law. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Houston, majoring in political science with double minors in history and national security studies, graduating with honors before heading to South Texas College of Law Houston.
Chris put himself through school as a business broker, helping small and midsize business owners build and execute exit strategies while transacting nearly $7 million in assets — work that earned him 2020 Agent of the Year honors from the largest, oldest business brokerage firm in the country. During that same stretch, he welcomed three daughters into the world and clerked at one of the premier personal injury firms in the country. After two years there as an attorney, Chris found what he calls an upgrade: Zehl & Associates.
Today, Chris draws on that wide-ranging background to help Zehl & Associates’ clients recover what they’ve lost. As a disabled veteran, he brings a personal understanding of what it means when negligence upends a life — and he fights accordingly.
