Hannah joined Zehl & Associates after spending a year clerking with the firm, quickly recognizing the firm aligned with her goals of wanting to help others.
Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Hannah received her bachelor’s degree in legal studies from the University of Illinois, graduating magna cum laude and earning a place on the Dean’s List each semester. During her time at the University of Illinois, she was Vice President of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society for the state of Illinois, traveling and representing the state throughout the U.S. Through this experience, Hannah was able to secure an internship with NASA in Hampton, Virginia, where she helped develop different rover prototypes. Additionally, she interned for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provided significant aid to Third World countries, gaining valuable experience in advocating and working for others.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Hannah moved to Houston, Texas, to earn her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law – Houston. While in law school, Hannah received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, the Joe M. Green, Jr. Scholarship, and was the 2024 CALI Award Recipient in her Women’s Rights Seminar. She also was an advocate on the South Texas Trial Advocacy Team, one of the nation’s most prestigious advocacy programs, making it to the finals and arguing in front of a retired Ohio Supreme Court Justice. She also was President of both the Democratic Law Student Association and the Animal Legal Defense Fund, was Vice President of the Women’s Law Society and was selected to be a board member of the Dean’s Advisory Board.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her Fiancé and their dogs, facetiming her family back home, and watching reality tv.
